The Byzantino Jewelry was established for the first time in 1987. The two owners, Kostas and Babis decided that it's time to show the world the know-how and talent, but mainly the love of these ancient jewelry admired in books and museums. This love for ancient Greek culture, and especially the way they were represented by a jewelry, prompted them to start to create reproductions of ancient Greek jewellery. So they discovered the talent and passion of the ancient masters who created remarkable works of art unmatched until today.
Together with the experience and inspirations from a variety of sources, believing that the jewelry should not just hold the fans, but also to the wear and enjoy, Kostas and Babis began to create new tracks adaptive to the demands of fashion, but always created with traditional techniques and showing the same respect and passion for art.Since 1987, the Jewels "BYZANTINO" is located on the Plate on Adrianou street 120.
The Funny thing is, the old neighborhood of Athens exactly underneath the Parthenon. Although inspired by ancient works, the passion for the art of jewelry could not be restricted to a single species, and for this reason, in 2002, Costas and the Babis and create a space where jewellery from the past and modern, could be presented at the same time. Something like a modern-day and ancient art museum where everyone can see the progress over time of the jewellery.
